Job responsibilities

Develop front-end elements of websites and web applications
Participate in analyzing client requirements, project priorities, and adhering to deadlines and deliverables
Communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable software solutions
Help in application optimization for enhanced performance, scalability, and high availability
Convert visual ideas into functional code and make sure to maintain design feasibility
Create reusable, well-structured code and libraries and review existing code
Update with the latest trends, technologies, and possibilities in the software development industry

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in front-end development using HTML (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Proficient in HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, and XML
Experience in web programming and well-versed in OOP
Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Illustrator
Understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform issues, session management, and best application development practices
Good grasp of code versioning tools, like Git, GitFlow, Mercurial, SVN, etc.
Fluent in English to communicate effectively
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Knowledge of SEO best practices
Understanding of multiple Content Management Systems
Familiar with back-end programming languages, like Java, Python, etc.
Attention to detail and creative and logical thinking skills
Good organizational and problem-solving skills
A team player yet able to work independently
