The solution

The client, with support from Turing, developed a web-based Wiring Design Portal (WDP) to centralize all wiring data and improve vehicle manufacturing and servicing processes:

  • Front-end development: Turing built the WDP using React with React Hooks to create an intuitive, real-time interface without page reloads. TypeScript was used for better code maintainability, and Redux was integrated for state management.
  • Backend integration: AWS Lambda was used for serverless computing, providing scalability and cost optimization. DocumentDB was implemented to store hierarchical wiring data, enabling fast querying and real-time updates.
  • System integrations: The WDP was integrated with SAP for real-time supply chain insights, Boomi for workflow automation, and Enovia for product development tracking, ensuring seamless data flow and process efficiency.
