At Turing, we are refining post-training methodologies to enhance AGI model accuracy and reasoning depth. Our focus this week:

  • Beyond Chain of Thought (CoT): The Tree of Thoughts (ToT) framework allows AI models to fork, explore multiple paths, and backtrack, improving decision-making and sample efficiency.
  • Process Reward Models (PRMs): These models verify AI reasoning step by step, reducing errors and enhancing structured learning.
  • Self-consistency in AI: Running multiple reasoning paths and selecting the most consistent answer reduces stochastic errors, leading to more reliable AI outputs.

These techniques bring us closer to AGI models that reason and refine their own thought processes—a critical step toward more trustworthy, autonomous AI.

  • The News: Baidu will open-source ERNIE 4.5 by June 30, drop chatbot premium tiers, and launch ERNIE 5 in H2 2025.
