Job description

Job responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high productivity, reliability, and scalability of software products and services
Take charge of developing metrics and KPIs to quantify product quality and engineering excellence
Assist in the design, development, and improvement of CI/CD pipelines
Take care of source code control management
Act proactively in troubleshooting development issues and fixing bugs
Conduct architectural and code review and assist in validation, code deployment, etc.
Collaborate with software engineers and project managers to discuss and implement innovative ideas for more impactful results

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer (rare exceptions for highly skilled engineers)
Extensive working experience with multiple programming languages, including Python, Ruby, Java, Go, Perl, C#, etc.
Well-versed with using various tools including Jenkins, Travis, etc.
Proficient with database technologies, release management, REST, SRE, etc.
Extensive experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Good understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and other containerization technologies
Ability to communicate fluently in English
The ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) and a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Experience working with at least one cloud platform, like AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with automation, continuous testing and monitoring tools
Understanding of software security best practices
Knowledge of version control systems like Git
Experience with Infrastructure as Code to test applications in production-like environments
Proficient with critical DevOps and Agile concepts and development principles
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
