Job description
Job responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure high productivity, reliability, and scalability of the deliverables
- Participate in developing metrics and KPIs to quantify product quality and engineering efficiency
- Contribute to the design, development and improvement of CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure source code control management
- Ability to troubleshoot and handle bug issues
- Run architectural and code review as well as validation, code deployment, etc.
- Communicate with engineers and project managers and share feedback to ensure more impactful results
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of DevOps experience (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Extensive working experience with general-purpose programming languages, like Python, Ruby, Java, Go, Perl, C#, etc.
- Proficiency in handling various tools including Jenkins, Travis, etc.
- Expertise in database technologies, release management, REST, SRE, etc.
- Working experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and other containerization technologies
- Ability to communicate fluently in English with engineering managers at US software companies
- The ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) and a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Good understanding of Node.js ecosystem including API development, TypeScript, libraries, etc.
- Understanding of at least one cloud platform, like AWS, Azure, GCP
- Knowledge of software security methods
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git
- Familiarity with the critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
