Job description

Job responsibilities

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure high productivity, reliability, and scalability of the deliverables
Participate in developing metrics and KPIs to quantify product quality and engineering efficiency
Contribute to the design, development and improvement of CI/CD pipelines
Ensure source code control management
Ability to troubleshoot and handle bug issues
Run architectural and code review as well as validation, code deployment, etc.
Communicate with engineers and project managers and share feedback to ensure more impactful results

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of DevOps experience (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Extensive working experience with general-purpose programming languages, like Python, Ruby, Java, Go, Perl, C#, etc.
Proficiency in handling various tools including Jenkins, Travis, etc.
Expertise in database technologies, release management, REST, SRE, etc.
Working experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and other containerization technologies
Ability to communicate fluently in English with engineering managers at US software companies
The ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) and a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Good understanding of Node.js ecosystem including API development, TypeScript, libraries, etc.
Understanding of at least one cloud platform, like AWS, Azure, GCP
Knowledge of software security methods
Knowledge of version control systems like Git
Familiarity with the critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
