Job description

Job responsibilities

Participate in project management discussions and plan out projects
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high productivity, reliability, and scalability of software services
Assist in developing metrics and KPIs to quantify product quality and engineering excellence
Contribute to the design, development, and improvement of CI/CD pipelines
Take care of software security and ensure systems are protected against cybersecurity threats
Identify technical problems, develop software updates, and assist in troubleshooting
Collaborate with software developers/engineers to ensure the SDLC follows established processes and best practices

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer (rare exceptions for highly skilled engineers)
Proficient with multiple programming languages, including Java, Python, Ruby, Golang, C#, etc.
Working experience with database technologies, release management, REST, SRE, etc.
Extensive experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Well-versed with various tools, including Jenkins, Travis, etc.
Good understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and other containerization technologies
Proficiency in using Git and Git workflows
Experience in developing large-scale or enterprise-level engineering applications
Ability to communicate fluently in English
The ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) and a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Familiar with cloud platforms, like AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with automation, continuous testing, and monitoring tools
Understanding of software security best practices
Knowledge of DevOps and Agile development principles
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
