Job description
Job responsibilities
- Help with writing effective, scalable, and clean code using Python programming language
- Assist in improving responsiveness and overall performance of the applications with advanced back-end components
- Integrate user-facing, front-end elements with the back-end of the applications
- Run integration and performance tests and debug programs to ensure increased functionality of existing systems
- Assist QA/data engineering team to implement security and data protection solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand end-user demands to offer required technical solutions
- Make sure the final product complies with accessibility standards
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of experience in Python programming using Django framework (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Hands-on experience with Python frameworks, including Django and Flask
- Expert knowledge of front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Good knowledge of event-driven programming in Python as well as the MVC
- Working experience with object-relational mapping (ORM)
- Proficient with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Profound ability in developing web applications and integrating REST APIs
- Fluent in English to communicate effectively
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Understanding of operating system and networking concepts
- Experience in web UI using JavaScript frameworks, like ReactJS, Angular, Bootstrap, jQuery, etc.
- Knowledge of server technologies including Linux, Apache, Node.js, Nginx
- Experience working with cloud platforms, like AWS, Azure, GCP
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
