Job responsibilities

Assist in the design, development, deployment, maintenance, and improvement of software applications
Contribute to team efforts to manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
Work closely with other cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver effective software solutions
Participate in application optimization for enhanced performance, scalability, and high availability
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and assist in translating visual ideas into effective code
Create reusable, well-tested code and libraries and keep documentation of the same for future use
Keep abreast with industry trends, technologies, and incorporate them into the development roadmap

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT (or equivalent experience)
At least 3 years of experience as HTML developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Highly proficient in HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, and XML
Extensive experience in web programming and well-versed with Object-Oriented Programming
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Illustrator
Solid understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform issues, session management, and best application development practices
Prolific expertise in translating user requirements into code and building intuitive front-end applications
Firm grasp over code versioning tools, including Git, GitFlow, Mercurial, SVN, etc.
Fluent in English to communicate effectively
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices
Basic understanding of CMSs, like WordPress, Shopify, etc.
Prior working experience with .NET
Basic understanding of back-end programming languages, like Java, Python, etc.
Keen attention to detail and strong creative and logical thinking skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
