Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Design, build & manage microservices and back-end APIs for high traffic applications
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas, best practices, and problems
  • Code collaboratively with others, writing clean, efficient, and reusable codes
  • Develop highly efficient user interface components on schedule
  • Drive improvements by analyzing website performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of web development experience (rare exceptions for highly skilled candidates)
  • Skilled in microservices and back-end APIs for high traffic, modular web applications
  • Proficiency in Node.js, Java, PHP, Python, etc.
  • Profound knowledge of REST, API design, and third-party libraries
  • Fluency in English to collaborate with engineering managers
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Experience in collecting and managing big data
  • Experience in cross-browser compatibility, and the responsive design of applications
  • Knowledge of developing GCP/AWS & code versioning tools like Git
  • Understanding of server-side logic and front-end performance optimization
  • Self-reliant, highly motivated, and focused on perfecting results
  • Excellent communication, analytical and technical skills
