Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements in the BI context
  • Develop detailed and insightful reports and analysis models to help the business make informed decisions
  • Import data from distributed data sources and transform them into business intelligence solutions
  • Apply DAX queries and functions in the Power BI desktop to enhance data models with calculations
  • Develop, deploy, and administer BI solutions
  • Integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics
  • Implement layered and robust security and data protection protocols to shield sensitive data from leaks
  • Analyze and suggest technical/strategic changes to enhance current BI solutions
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date technical documents for future reference

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience working in data-specific roles preferably Power BI (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • High-level proficiency in creating analytical dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI or other data analytics tool like Tableau
  • Extensive working experience in data preparation, data gateway, and data warehousing projects
  • Strong knowledge of business intelligence stacks having SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS tools
  • Knowledge of data analytics, data warehouse design, and data mining
  • Familiar and experienced in SQL, ETL framework, database management systems, and online analytical processing (OLAP)
  • Aware of JavaScript, CSS, and other JavaScript libraries/frameworks.
  • Fluent in English to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Capable to tackle complex problems independently or by collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis
  • Ability to learn and respond quickly in the fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and initiate
