Job description

Job responsibilities

Create reliable, scalable, low-latency, and high-performance web applications
Mentor and manage the development team to design, develop, and deliver fully functional products
Collaborate with back-end developers and develop features that improve the user experience
Define standard practices and maintain brand consistency all across the web pages
Take ownership of all phases of software delivery including design, development, testing & support
Maintain and optimize applications for maximum speed and responsiveness
Ensure products conforms to high industry performance and quality standards
Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and drive advancements
Research and implement web development best practices, industry trends, and processes in projects

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in front-end web development (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Ample working experience with front-end technologies like React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, etc.
Proficiency in code versioning tools like Git, SVN, BitBucket, etc.
Expertise in integrating front-end features with back-end microservices
Solid understanding of UI/UX design and layout
Strong knowledge of responsive and cross-platform designs
Fluent in English to communicate effectively
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Experience with Node.js, Java, Python, AWS
Knowledge of SEO principles and software like Adobe Suite, Photoshop, and content management systems is an added advantage
Knowledge of front-end testing frameworks like Jasmine, Jest, etc.
Excellent knowledge of the Agile development process
Great technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
