Job description

Job responsibilities

Evaluate the operational viability of distributed software systems
Develop high-performance, adaptive, scalable, and innovative solutions
Use best practices for software design, implementation, and management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish technical specifications and deliver solutions that match business needs
Implement software tools, procedures, and analytics to help maintain and upgrade existing systems
Troubleshoot applications and maintain them as per the latest software standards
Integrate applications with internal or third-party software for better performance and data consistency
Work closely with technical writers and maintain detailed and accurate technical documentation

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience working as a software developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Strong grasp of one or more programming languages/libraries/frameworks like PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, .NET, React, Node, Angular, etc.
Deep understanding of software engineering fundamentals and software development life cycle
Experience in writing unit and integration tests
Strong understanding of web and web server technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, NGINX, and J2EE
Experience with version control systems such as Git. Mercurial, etc.
Fluent in English to communicate effectively
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4-hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Familiar with databases, APIs, and third-party libraries
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good reasoning, analytical, and collaborative skills
