Job description

Job responsibilities

Coordinate with engineers and analysts to formulate guided, multifaceted analytic studies against a large volume of data
Participate in interpreting and analyzing data using advanced mathematical and statistical techniques
Collaborate in research and analytic activities utilizing both unstructured and structured data points
Conduct data experiments and share information based on experiment results
Assist in developing project management methodology and processes for prioritization and scheduling of project deliveries
Work closely with cross-functional business units and engineering teams to build a long term data platform architecture strategy

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience as a data scientist/data engineer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Well-versed with one or more high-level programming languages like Java, C++, Python, R, etc.
Strong knowledge of data querying languages, like SQL
Demonstrated experience in quantitative data analysis, report writing, and presentation
Wide understanding of applying data science methods to real-world data problems
Expertise in utilizing visualization tools to take advantage of a large amount of available information
Advanced knowledge of data analytics, predictive analytics, software and data models development, data conditioning, etc.
Proficiency in conducting big data analysis, programming advanced computing, developing and executing algorithms
Fluency in English language for effective communication
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Ability to handle stats-based modeling and ML modeling
Familiar with Hadoop and other Big Data tools
Proficient with BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
Experience with applied statistics or experimentation, like A/B testing
Proficient working in Agile software development environment
Strong analytical, critical, and problem-solving skills
