Job description
Job responsibilities
- Be a contributor to the multifaceted team and assist in developing robust iOS applications
- Write scalable code and perform unit/integration tests to ensure usability & reliability, code organization, and automatization
- Take charge of determining development methods. Deliver test, implementation, and support plans at multi-tier levels
- Keep up-to-date with new technologies & industry trends and implement those in the development process to address new problems or improve existing solutions
- Collaborate with the stakeholders, project managers, and designers to determine and deploy new application features
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Work closely with the QA team to find and fix developmental bottlenecks and bugs
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in iOS app development (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Well-versed in iOS app development with Swift, Objective-C, C#, XCode, Cocoa Touch, etc.
- Experience in iOS frameworks, including Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics, and Core Text
- Extensive knowledge of mobile app testing and security
- Profound understanding of iOS’s design principles and interface guidelines
- Sound skills in implementing UI patterns, including MVC and MVVM
- Portfolio of published original iOS app on the App Store
- Fluent in English to communicate effectively
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4-hour overlap with U.S. time zones
Preferred skills
- Familiar with unit testing tools, like Espresso, Junit, etc.
- Knowledge of developing and integrating SDKs
- Well-versed with REST APIs and version control with Git
- Excellent creative, technical, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in an Agile environment
