Job description
Job responsibilities
- Assist in the upgrade, backup, recovery, and migration of databases
- Create effective and useful reporting deliverables
- Write optimized SQL queries for integration with other applications
- Analyze performance, security, and availability of databases
- Work collaboratively to develop database triggers to use in automation
- Collaborate with data specialists to develop data migration methods and scripts
- Work closely with the QA team to ensure data quality and database security
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in CS, Engineering or IT (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of experience in SQL development (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Profound knowledge of SQL server objects development, including tables, views, stored procedures, and UDFs
- Advanced knowledge of T-SQL programming and Microsoft SQL Server
- Proficient with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
- Solid understanding of SQL coding, schema design, and performance tuning
- Fluent in English to communicate effectively
- Full-time availability(40 hours/week) with a 4-hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Familiar with data management solutions on Azure
- Experience working with DWH, SSRS, and SSIS
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinker, and team player with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in an Agile environment
