Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Assist in the upgrade, backup, recovery, and migration of databases
  • Create effective and useful reporting deliverables
  • Write optimized SQL queries for integration with other applications
  • Analyze performance, security, and availability of databases
  • Work collaboratively to develop database triggers to use in automation
  • Collaborate with data specialists to develop data migration methods and scripts
  • Work closely with the QA team to ensure data quality and database security

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in CS, Engineering or IT (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience in SQL development (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Profound knowledge of SQL server objects development, including tables, views, stored procedures, and UDFs
  • Advanced knowledge of T-SQL programming and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Proficient with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
  • Solid understanding of SQL coding, schema design, and performance tuning
  • Fluent in English to communicate effectively
  • Full-time availability(40 hours/week) with a 4-hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Familiar with data management solutions on Azure
  • Experience working with DWH, SSRS, and SSIS
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinker, and team player with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment
