Job description
Job responsibilities
- Participate in building back-end infrastructure, data pipelines, and ML models for AI-backed products
- Assist in experimentation with machine learning to create new program features and put them to the test
- Contribute to extending and improving existing ML frameworks and libraries
- Collaborate with data engineers to build data and model pipelines, and embed AI and analytics into the business decision processes
- Deploy machine learning models to end-users and run experiments
- Conduct tests, perform statistical analysis, interpret test results, and perform tuning and scaling
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Maths, Statistics, or relevant field
- 3+ years of experience as an ML engineer (exceptions made based on skill level)
- Stronghold of applied machine learning algorithms, especially NLP, and statistics
- Proficient with machine learning, neural networks, deep learning, and related fields
- Experience in ML frameworks, ML libraries, and packages like Scikit learn, Theano, Tensorflow, Matplotlib, Caffe, etc.
- Exceptional grasp over data science and computer architecture
- Solid knowledge of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture
- Fluency in English to collaborate with engineering managers
- Work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Knowledge of writing code in Java, Python, R, and C++
- Familiar with Big Data frameworks - Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, Flume, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Efficient working in an Agile development environment
