Job description
Job responsibilities
- Identify business issues along with product and service enhancement possibilities
- Analyze data and make strategic or tactical suggestions
- Participate in data cleansing, data wrangling, quantitative analysis, and data mining
- Analyze the stats and see customer responses to products and services
- Identify issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address them
- Keep abreast with the latest industry trends and opportunities
- Assist in influencing, supporting, and executing product decisions and product launches
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings and set product team goals, design and evaluate experiments
- Oversee important product KPIs and evaluate what causes any changes in the KPIs
- Evaluate and create reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards
- Build user behavior models for analysis and to drive manufacturing systems
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics, (or equivalent field)
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist (rare exceptions for exceptionally skilled professionals)
- Excellent fluency in data mining, data models, segmentation techniques, and database design development
- Capability of preparing the structure, analyzing, and extracting data as per business requirements
- Proficient with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), statistical and mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, MATLAB)
- Fluency in English to collaborate with engineering managers
- Work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of data
- Knowledge of A/B testing in an industry setting
- Expertise in preparing reports, inquiries, and presentations
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
