Job description
Job responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to determine requirements, development processes, and plan the delivery roadmap
- Troubleshoot and fix any issues found in existing PHP programs
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations of web processes and infrastructure
- Write PHP scripts to facilitate client systems to meet the product performance and objectives
- Assist the QA team to prepare software testing for client applications
- Create and maintain documentation for the development cycle and code
- Write or modify client software with the help of source debuggers
- Work closely with the project owners and development team to complete projects promptly
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3+ years of proven experience as a PHP developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Excellent knowledge of the basic PHP 7 or web server exploits
- Strong knowledge of PHP coding and web-based applications
- Good understanding of website integration and software creation
- Good knowledge of SQL and related databases along with a detailed understanding of database design and administration
- Ability to integrate the application with third party services using REST APIs
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Fluency in English for effective communication
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a daily 4 hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Experience in building or maintaining CMSs
- Knowledge of MVC frameworks and code versioning tools
- Ability to integrate different data sources and databases into a single system
- Able to follow clear instructions according to client demands
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly enthusiastic about delivering results
