Job description
Job responsibilities
- Work closely with stakeholders to determine business requirements in the BI context
- Assist in preparing dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI
- Transform the imported data into business intelligence solutions
- Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI to enhance data models with calculations
- Integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics
- Make technical/strategic changes to improve the performance of existing BI systems
- Contribute to analyzing the present ETL process, and defining and designing new systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for performance improvement and suggestions
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience working in data-specific roles preferably Power BI (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Exceptionally skilled in creating analytical dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI or other data analytics tools, like SAP and Tableau
- High-level proficiency in data preparation, data gateway, and data warehousing projects
- Extensive working experience with Microsoft BI stack
- Solid understanding of SQL, ETL framework, database management systems, and online analytical processing (OLAP)
- Fluent in English to communicate effectively
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Prolific experience with JavaScript, CSS, and other JavaScript libraries/frameworks
- Aware of prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis
- Ability to learn and respond quickly in the fast-paced work environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and initiate
- Ability to handle complex problems independently
