Job description

Job responsibilities

Assist in the end-to-end development of high-quality applications
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing features into the back-end
Participate in writing test-backed server-side Python code
Collaborate cross-functionally to analyze requirements and build new features and functionality
Assist in finding and fixing existing functionality issues and bottlenecks
Designing and building application layers

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent)
Minimum 3+ years of Full-stack development experience with a focus on Python (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Hands-on working experience in programming using Python, its frameworks, and libraries
Proficient in working with databases, such as Redis, Elasticsearch Storage, SQL, NoSQL
Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, Typescript, etc.
Proven experience in building and deploying real-time web applications
Expertise in using at least one Python web framework, like Django, Flask, etc.
Ability to communicate fluently in English with engineering managers
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Experience with automated testing including unit/integration testing
Experience with data-intensive applications
Basic knowledge of writing responsive modern web applications
Ability to handle concurrency in database updates at scale
Deep understanding of CAP theorem, and experience with large-scale databases
Comfortable working in fast-paced, Agile environments
