Job description

Job responsibilities

Contribute to all stages of software development life cycle including maintenance and support
Work with cross-functional teams, project managers, and stakeholders to build high-quality software solutions
Create scalable, robust, and reusable code
Review the existing codebase to make it error-free
Help the project owners in recognizing performance bottlenecks
Share ideas for resolving system limitations
Participate in project discussions to share expertise and views on improvising SDLC principles, best practices, and methodologies as per the current trend

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 3+ years of experience as a remote software developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Expertise in the major programming languages, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Python, Ruby, PHP, etc.
Proficient with various libraries & frameworks, i.e. jQuery, React, Node.js, Vue.js, AngularJS, etc.
Strongholds on UI and UX design, WordPress, Spark
Hands-on experience with database management systems, such as MySQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, etc.
Well-versed in building CI/CD pipelines
Fluency in English for effortless collaboration
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a daily 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Familiarity with Lambda, SQL, and ElasticSearch
Experience in codebases and version control systems (Git)
Basic knowledge algorithms, data structures, and space-time complexity
Confident working in Agile software development environment
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
