Job description
Job responsibilities
- Manage Java and J2EE application development process
- Design, deploy, and maintain high-volume and low-latency Java applications
- Contribute to all phases of the SDLC and ensure delivering high availability and performance
- Create clean, efficient, and testable code
- Oversee software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging
- Work closely with the entire development team to plan, produce, and release software elements
- Present architectural review and promote continuous improvement
- Monitor and mentor junior Java and J2EE developers
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Wide working experience as a Java Developer
- Solid experience in ETL design, configuration, data mapping, extraction, transformation
- Knowledge of JVM and memory management
- Experience with RDBM systems, including SQL Server, Oracle
- Understanding of service-oriented architecture/web services, including SOAP and REST
- Fluency in English to collaborate with engineering managers and clients
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) and a 4 hour overlap with US time zone
Preferred skills
- Familiar with multithreading and synchronization
- Basic understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, blockchain, AWS, Hadoop/Big Data, etc.
- Familiarity in advanced JavaScript frameworks, like Angular, React, VueJS
- Ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment
