Job description

Job responsibilities

Oversee common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
Research required data and review and interpret business report requirements
Create appropriate and useful reporting deliverables
Analyze existing SQL queries to ensure performance improvements
Assist in developing, implementing, and optimizing stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
Work closely with data specialists to develop procedures and scripts for data migration
Help the stakeholders with timely scheduled management reporting

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of experience in SQL server development and ETL tools (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Demonstrated experience in SQL server objects development, including tables, views, stored procedures, and UDFs
Profound knowledge of configuring and administrating SQL servers
Extensive experience with database administration and management
Proven working experience in data acquisition frameworks and ETL development
Advanced knowledge of SQL coding, schema design, and performance tuning
Strong understanding of the practical application of NoSQL\NewSQL databases
Fluent in English to communicate effectively with engineers and clients
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Familiar with data management solutions on Azure
Experience working with SSRS and SSIS
T-SQL coding experience is a plus
Good verbal and written communication skills
Critical thinker, team player, and excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work with a virtual team in an Agile environment
