Job description
Job responsibilities
- Take part in all database procedures, including upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
- Assist in designing and coding basic-level systems, programs, and interfaces
- Ensure database performance, security, and availability
- Develop data migration procedures and define data Integration/migration needs
- Collaborate and create robust ETL architecture design, load strategies, and ETL mapping documentation
- Write and execute unit test plans and keep track of any processing issues
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of experience in database development or database administration (rare exceptions for exceptionally skilled developers)
- Prolific knowledge of Microsoft T-SQL programming and ETL (Microsoft SSIS) tools
- Extensive working experience with Microsoft SQL server
- Solid understanding of the practical application of NoSQL\NewSQL databases
- Stronghold on Data Marts, Operational Data Store (ODS), OLAP, Dimensional Data Modeling, Star Schema Modeling, and Snow-Flake Modeling
- Hands-on experience in generating SQL queries from given structure and Syntax, as well as addressing complex database queries
- Fluency in English for effective communication
- Availability to work with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Knowledge of popular cloud computing services like AWS, GCP, etc.
- Familiar with multiple programming languages like Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP, etc.
- Highly efficient in generating, debugging, and executing stored procedures
- Understanding of reporting tools, like Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects
- Comfortable working in an Agile environment
- Good organizational and communication skills
