Job description

Job responsibilities

Participate in building and maintaining different types of web pages, websites, and web applications
Implement best practices for development infrastructure, including version control and testing
Assist in completing projects within production SLAs and in accordance with client requirements and company standards
Make sure to deliver the highest quality software solutions promptly
Identify new opportunities and development practices
Share feedback with the team to improve the infrastructure

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years experience in web development (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Effective working experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Java, Ruby, .NET, etc.
Proficiency in SDLC methodology and project methodologies and tools
Solid knowledge of web services integrations with REST and/or SOAP
Demonstrable experience in integrating APIs, payment gateways, etc.
Experience in managing complex, multiple, time-sensitive projects for informational websites
Fluent in English to communicate effectively
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Knowledge of CMS platforms
Knowledge of bug and feature tracking systems, including Jira, New Relic, etc., and Git-based source control
Understanding of basic SEO practices and Web Analytics
Great organizational and time management skills
Ability to work in an Agile environment
