Job description

Job responsibilities

Design and develop highly-performant, robust, and scalable websites and web applications
Identify user and system requirements to design, develop, and maintain user-friendly web applications
Work closely with stakeholders and project managers to define project specifications
Establish targets, timelines, and delegate tasks to ensure timely deliverable
Collaborate with the design team to finalize website layouts and ensure a high-quality user experience
Review, refactor codes, and run functionality tests to ensure seamless performance
Find potential errors and fix bugs in both existing websites and the new ones

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience working as a web developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Extensive experience in web development languages such as HTML5, CSS3, XML, JavaScript, PHP, Ruby, etc.
Knowledge of asynchronous programming, patterns, threading, performance tuning, etc.
Familiar with industry-standard networking and security protocols and guidelines
Experience with libraries and frameworks such as jQuery, React, Node.js, AngularJS, etc.
Familiar with databases, third-party libraries, and APIs
Understanding of relational database systems, like SQL and Oracle, and Object-Oriented Programming
Stronghold over code versioning tools like Git, SVN, Mercurial, etc.
Fluent in English to communicate effectively
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Knowledge of SEO practices and CMS is an added advantage
Aware of Agile web development methodologies
Proficiency with project management tools, like Jira
Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills
