Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Develop web-based software using programming languages such as VB.net, C#, and MSSQL.
  • Perform extensive software testing and stringent quality checks
  • Deliver error-free and fully functional products
  • Rewrite existing code to ensure compliance with specified guidelines
  • Ensure that outputs are user-friendly and visually compelling
  • Deploying developments and monitoring uptake by the target audience.
  • Develop technical interfaces, specifications, and architecture

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience in software development with .NET (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Experience working with SQL Server, ASP.NET framework, and architectural patterns such as MVC (Model-View-Controller)
  • Sound knowledge of .NET languages (especially Visual Basic .NET, C#) and HTML, CSS
  • Good understanding of architectural styles and APIs like RPC, REST
  • Experience working with databases and their languages like SQL, etc.
  • Fluency in the English language for effective communication
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Experience with development tools such as GIT and JIRA
  • Good understanding of Ajax and JSON
  • Familiar with web application frameworks such as Node and React
  • Knowledge of Lint tools, code coverage, and Unit testing
  • Familiarity with browser rendering engines
  • Knowledge of algorithms, software design, database systems, etc.
  • Effective client interaction and problem-solving skills
