Job description
Job responsibilities
- Create and formulate effective and responsive designs
- Install and build custom Drupal modules and consume web services
- Test, debug, and update Drupal websites
- Work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to meet technical and business requirements
- Assist the development team to write effective code that complies with engineering standards and best practices
- Participate actively in sprint planning, daily standups, and sprint retrospectives
- Contribute to debugging and troubleshooting technical issues and identifying appropriate solutions
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer using Drupal (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Extensive programming experience in PHP and Drupal
- Proficient in primary web development concepts, like HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Good understanding of object-oriented PHP and other web technologies, like React, Node.js, GraphQL, Vue.js, etc.
- Sound knowledge of SQL, including the use of JOINS and aggregation functions
- Have strong English written and verbal communication skills
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) and a 4 hour overlap with US time zone
Preferred skills
- Understanding of git for code management
- Basic understanding of CI/CD processes
- Experience or familiarity with Docker or other container/virtualized development environments
- Familiarity with automated testing concepts, like behavioral testing, visual regression testing
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to set and meet deadlines for projects
