Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with data scientists, business users, project managers, and other engineers to plan and execute the software development lifecycle
  • Analyze proposed development methodologies and share insights to ensure continual improvement in the Agile development environment
  • Work closely with cross-functional engineering and QA teams to maintain, support, and improve existing systems, platforms, and security parameters
  • Make sure to achieve and maintain project goals and industry standards by troubleshooting, debugging, and updating systems routinely
  • Contribute to building software infrastructure, automating operations, capacity planning, and architectural design decisions

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in all phases of software development (rare exceptions for talented developers)
  • Extremely well-versed with various web technologies & their nuances like HTML, CSS, UI/UX, React, Angular, design, and others
  • Extensive experience in test-driven development and handling automated testing frameworks
  • Prolific knowledge of all phases of the entire software development life cycle
  • Proven skills in several high-level coding languages, including C++, Java, JavaScript, and code versioning tools like Git
  • Excellent grasp over databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks
  • Strong understanding of highly available, scalable & secure systems building processes
  • Expertise in supporting production quality software and owning projects from end-to-end
  • Fluency in English to collaborate with engineering managers
  • Work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Knowledge of large codebases, APIs, and third-party libraries
  • Capacity to handle large volumes of data
  • Ability to build large scale, customer-centric software applications
  • Expert with Agile development methodologies
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
