Job responsibilities

Work closely with data scientists, business users, project managers, and other engineers to develop essential software solutions
Analyze software development methodologies and give feedback for continual improvement in our Agile development setting
Assist in the maintenance, support, and improvement of existing systems and platforms
Contribute to troubleshooting, debugging, and updating systems to achieve and maintain project goals and industry standards
Build software infrastructure, automate operations, and participate in capacity planning and architecture

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of software development experience (rare exceptions for talented developers)
Experience with various web technologies & their nuances like HTML, CSS, UI/UX, React, Angular, design among others
Well-versed with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks
Knowledge of the full software development life cycle
Skilled in multiple coding languages, such as C++, Java, JavaScript, and code versioning tools like Git
Proficient with databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks
Expertise in building highly available, scalable & secure systems
Experience in supporting production quality software and owning projects from end-to-end
Fluency in English to collaborate with engineering managers
Work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Ability to deliver on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
Experience building large scale, customer-centric software applications
Understanding of large codebases, APIs, and third-party libraries
Experience in handling large volumes of data
Knowledge of Scrum/Agile development methodologies
