Job description
Job responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee application releases into secure and certified environments
- Perform required gating activities to ensure successful deployments and environment availability
- Communicate release information effectively to team members and release stakeholders
- Build and maintain tools to automate the processes that introduce change to the environment
- Build and maintain tools to automate the report generation
- Assist with complex problem resolution and debugging
- Suggest improvements in processes and procedures for development teams
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps or release engineer
- Have a software development background with coding experience with languages like Ruby, Python, and Scala
- Proficient with modern Unix/Linux operating systems/distributions
- Efficiency in automating release and continuous integration/deployment system,
- Experience with tools like Git, Github, Jenkins, Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, etc.
- Solid understanding of SRE/DevOps and highly resilient/automated systems run
- Proficient in working with software build tools and integration tools
- Fluency in English to collaborate with engineering managers and clients
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) and a 4 hour overlap with US time zone
Preferred skills
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and SDLC
- Experience with troubleshooting and debugging
- Experience using RESTful web services is a plus
- Understanding of tools, such as Tableau and Grafana is preferred
- Ability to quickly learn new and existing technologies
- Experience in a multi-platform environment
