Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee application releases into secure and certified environments
  • Perform required gating activities to ensure successful deployments and environment availability
  • Communicate release information effectively to team members and release stakeholders
  • Build and maintain tools to automate the processes that introduce change to the environment
  • Build and maintain tools to automate the report generation
  • Assist with complex problem resolution and debugging
  • Suggest improvements in processes and procedures for development teams

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps or release engineer
  • Have a software development background with coding experience with languages like Ruby, Python, and Scala
  • Proficient with modern Unix/Linux operating systems/distributions
  • Efficiency in automating release and continuous integration/deployment system,
  • Experience with tools like Git, Github, Jenkins, Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, etc.
  • Solid understanding of SRE/DevOps and highly resilient/automated systems run
  • Proficient in working with software build tools and integration tools
  • Fluency in English to collaborate with engineering managers and clients
  • Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) and a 4 hour overlap with US time zone

Preferred skills

  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and SDLC
  • Experience with troubleshooting and debugging
  • Experience using RESTful web services is a plus
  • Understanding of tools, such as Tableau and Grafana is preferred
  • Ability to quickly learn new and existing technologies
  • Experience in a multi-platform environment
