Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Participate in regular maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms
  • Make sure to adhere to project plans and industry standards to troubleshoot, debug and upgrade systems
  • Contribute to automating multiple processes, building software infrastructure, assisting in capacity planning and architecture
  • Collaborate with data scientists, project managers, other engineers, and stakeholders to build the required software solutions
  • Test software development methodology in an agile development environment and share feedback for improvement

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3+ years of software development experience (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Hands-on experience supporting production quality software from end-to-end
  • Proficient with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
  • Excellent skills in building highly available, scalable & secure systems
  • Good understanding of complete software development life cycle
  • Solid knowledge of web technologies & their nuances, like HTML, CSS, UI/UX, React, Angular, etc.
  • Knowledge of coding languages, like C++, Java, JavaScript, and code versioning tools, like Git
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English
  • Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) and a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Ability to deliver projects on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
  • Knowledge of databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks
  • Working experience of building large scale, customer-centric software applications
  • Strong understanding of large codebases, like API techniques & handling large volumes of data
