Job description

Job responsibilities

Write clean, efficient, reusable, testable, and scalable server-side logic to create responsive web applications
Integrate front-end user-facing components with server-side logic
Create high-availability, low-latency, and high-performance applications
Collaborate with design and product teams to understand end-user requirements
Work on improving the server-side platform and web frameworks
Improve the functionalities of existing software systems
Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and industry trends

Minimum requirements

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of Python development experience (rare exceptions for highly skilled candidates)
Strong knowledge of Python programming language
Excellent knowledge of Python web frameworks like Django, Flask, or Pyramid
Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB
Extensive working experience with server-side templating languages
Efficiency in event-driven programming in Python
Demonstrated experience with Python development best practices, testing, documenting APIs, etc.
AWS experience in developing lambdas in Python along with exposure in using AWS services like RDS, SNS, CloudWatch, etc.
Fluency in English to collaborate with international teams/clients
Work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Good understanding of code versioning tools, like Git, SVN, Mercurial
Strong and sound skills in unit testing and debugging
Good understanding of front-end technologies and AI/ML algorithms
Knowledge of database, including schemas and ORMs
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working in an Agile development environment
