Job description

Job responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy software development technologies and infrastructure
Work closely with product line leaders to determine product requirements
Assist in eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse, and increasing efficiency
Work cross-functionally with other departments to align activities and deliverables
Understand and assess performance parameters and write efficient code
Apply SDLC principles, best practices, and methodologies

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, or IT (or equivalent experience)
A minimum of 3+ years of software engineering experience (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Profound programming experience using multiple languages, including JavaScript, HTML, C++, Java, Ruby, .NET, etc.
Knowledge of Shell scripting languages, like Bash, Perl, Python, etc.
Exposure to design, development, and software testing best practices
Strong experience with SQL databases, like PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.
Solid understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies
Fluency in English for effective communication
Availability to work with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Basic understanding of Windows and Unix / Linux based programming
Familiarity with Cloud Services and their usage
Good oral and written communication skills
Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Comfortable working in SCRUM and Agile environments
