Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Design, build & manage micro-services and backend API’s for high traffic applications
  • Contribute to team and organizational improvements in process and infrastructure
  • Drive improvements by analyzing website performance
  • Code, test and operate Node.js based services
  • Effectively use tools and ingenuity to identify and fix bugs

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in Node.js development (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Proficient with design and implementation of RESTFul services with Node.js
  • Experience in supporting production support for large-scale distributed systems
  • Knowledge of Node frameworks such as Express, StrongLoop, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript and its libraries
  • Fluency in English for effective communication
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a daily 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Ability to write clean and scalable code
  • Good understanding ofHTML and CSS
  • Knowledge of relational database systems
  • Experience in cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, etc.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
