Job description

Job responsibilities

Work closely with cross-functional development teams and project managers to determine client requirements for software development projects
Develop intuitive software solution that meets and exceeds the needs of the clients
Maintain software products/systems and create updates regularly to address client/company concerns
Analyze and test programs and products before the final launch/delivery
Troubleshooting coding problems quickly and efficiently to ensure a productive workplace
Ensure software security by developing programs and monitoring information sharing activities
Investigate and identify advanced opportunities to improve business software processes and interactions

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in remote software development (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Proficient with multiple programming languages, frameworks, and libraries, including React, Node, Python, JavaScript, React Native, PHP, Python, Java, among others
Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions, and standards
Fluent with software design and architecture for large-scale distributed systems
Well-versed with data structures and algorithms
Functional knowledge and design experience with Web Services (REST) along with web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, etc.
Efficiency in using code versioning tools like Git and project management tools like Jira
Fluent in English to communicate effectively
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Solid understanding of Linux/Unix environment
Familiar with CI/CD/CT pipelines
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Comfortable working with distributed environments
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
