Job description

Job responsibilities

Work closely with cross-functional teams and project managers for project planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing
Diagnose and prevent performance and optimization problems, particularly in large scale software development projects
Assist in identifying the root cause for the most complex software issues and resolving technical problems of high scope and complexity
Ensure improvements to product quality, security, and performance of software applications
Keep abreast of new technologies and available vendor packages; evaluate and share feedback with stakeholders

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of professional experience as a software developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Proven expertise in designing, programming, and implementing large information systems
Experience with programming languages including JavaScript, Java, Scala, Python, PHP, etc.
Knowledge of database and cache, Server, API (REST & SOAP), etc
Hands-on experience with Visual Studio, Git, Jira, and multiple test automation tools
Well-versed with test-driven development and continuous integration
Fluent in English to communicate effectively
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

Knowledge of low-level programming languages like C and C++
Good understanding of .NET framework and knowledge of HTML and CSS
Knowledge of server-side experience with SASS and LESS
Solid understanding of accessibility and server compliance
Great technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work within an Agile development environment
