Job description

Job responsibilities

Code and test programming for in-house software programs
Debug code for existing programs based on immediate need
Conduct end-user training upon completion of software
Handle multiple projects and respond immediately to tech support requests from staff
Implement systems in the in-house production environment
Report issues and concerns immediately to the IT manager
Troubleshoot system bugs and issues

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in computer programming role (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Extensive experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, C++, C#, SQL server database, etc.
Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework, including JSF, Wicket, GWT, and Spring MVC
Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies
Advanced understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft software
Strong attention to detail to spot minor errors or inconsistencies in code
Fluent in English to communicate effectively
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

HTML and CSS experience is preferred
Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
